UMAC planning Rethink Church event in San Francisco
1/13/2010
The Executive Board of the United Methodist Association of Communicators (UMAC) is planning a Rethink Church event to open the 2010 Annual Meeting in San Francisco, Oct. 19 through 22.
The Board hopes to apply for a Rethink Church grant through United Methodist Communications to underwrite the cost of the event. Cate Monaghan, vice-president of UMAC and Interim Director of Communications of the California-Nevada Annual Conference, is working with the district superintendent for the Mission District in San Francisco on a mission project involving churches and community members as well as UMAC members, on Tuesday, Oct. 19, following the meeting’s opening worship.
The mission project/Rethink Church event will be the first event of the annual meeting and will be followed by the opening banquet with keynote speaker, the Rev. Eric Law of the Kaleidoscope Institute in Los Angeles.
UMAC members interested in helping plan the mission project are needed and should contact Cate Monaghan.
